A Riverside woman has been sentenced to prison for violating her sex offender registration, second or subsequent offense, a class D felony.
Washington County Attorney John Gish announced Friday that 35-year-old Christina Gray was sentenced to up to 15 years in prison and must serve a minimum of three years. Gray was expected to go to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office periodically to verify data on the Sex Offender Registry, but failed to check in as required. She was then charged with the violation and arrested in March. Gray has two prior registry violation convictions in 2020, making this her third violation. She also has two prior felony convictions, rendering her a habitual offender under Iowa Code. Gray was convicted of lascivious acts with a child, a class D felony, through a plea agreement in 2013.
