The 2021 Washington County Fair Queen has been crowned.
Carmen Sieren of the Dutch Creek Flyers 4-H Club was named the fair queen Sunday night, while Bailey Sieren was named first runner up, Taylor Sublette was named second runner up and Anna Nafziger was named Miss Congeniality.
Carmen shares how it feels to be named queen, “It feels pretty great. There’s definitely a lot of really great girls and I’m just really grateful that I had this experience.”
Carmen is the daughter of Jason and Katherine Sieren, and is entering her junior year at Mid-Prairie High School. She gives words of appreciation upon earning her title, “I would definitely like to thank all of the girls and my family and everyone that’s helped me get here.”
Lilly Clark, Kyleigh Dolan, and Zoe Fisher were also contestants for this year’s fair queen. 2020 Washington County Fair Queen Taylor Brinning helped crown Carmen, and Miss Iowa Grace Lynn Keller was the emcee for the 27th annual pageant.
