A Washington man was recently sentenced to prison for his second sex-related offense and for violating his probation.
Court documents show that through a plea agreement, 23-year-old Ernest Lee Shaw was convicted of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor, and was sentenced to up to four years in prison. Shaw’s probation was revoked for a previous conviction of third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony, and his original 10-year prison sentence is imposed. Both prison sentences will be served concurrently. He must also pay an $855 fine with a 15% surcharge, category B restitution for both cases, be listed on the sex offender registry, and must serve a special sentence as if on parole following his incarceration for 10 years.
The most recent conviction stems from a December 31st, 2020 incident for which a class C felony charge of third-degree sexual abuse was dismissed.
