All conference baseball awards favored Lone Tree in 2021, as the Lions recently had six members recognized by the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
Adam Knock had the highest distinction being named unanimous first team infield in the north division. The junior showed off his versatility by recording a .321 batting average, was second in the league with 31 stolen bases, only had two errors, and struck out 45 batters in 36 innings on the bump. Three players were named to the second team in Tyler Bell, Cade Shield, and Alex Viner. Bell paced the team with a .394 BA, had three home runs on the season, and brought in 30 tallies. Shield finished with a .381 OBP and was the top hurler with a 5.16 ERA in 41 frames. Viner racked up a .439 on base percentage and was successful on 24 of 27 stolen base attempts. Two players received honorable mention in Gavin Pourroy and Mathew Hemsted. Pourroy registered a .407 OBP and Hemsted brought in 18 runs.
The Lions finished fifth in the league with a 7-9 conference mark and 10-16 overall.
