Postseason baseball awards continue to come in and Keota recently had five players receive all conference distinction by the South Iowa Cedar League for the 2021 summer.
Two players had the highest honor of first team in Colten Clarahan as a pitcher and Brady Duwa as an outfielder. Clarahan was filthy on the hill with a 7-1 record where he pitched 50 innings and finished second in the conference with a 1.26 ERA. No one recorded more strikeouts than the junior with 113 and he also got it done at the plate leading the team with a .417 batting average and 32 RBI. Duwa had a .414 on base percentage, brought in 21 tallies, led the team with four home runs, and was successful on 13 of 15 stolen base attempts. Carson Sprouse was the lone second team selection as an infielder. The senior got on base 53% of the time, was plated 18 times, managed seven extra base hits, and registered a 1.59 ERA in 44 innings of work. Patrick Clarahan and Max Johnson were recognized as honorable mention. Patrick had a .380 OBP with Johnson having .350 and both of them drove in seven runs.
The Eagles finished fourth in the SICL with an 11-5 league mark and 15-8 overall.
