The final postseason awards were released this week for the Washington baseball team and four Demons were named all district players released by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Five districts made up the state for class 3A and three Demons made the first team list for the Southeast District including catcher Ethan Zieglowsky, outfielder Reece Mayer, and utility player Lucas Kroll. Zieglowsky was a formidable catcher by throwing out eight runners on the season and he also racked up a .394 batting average with 21 RBI. Mayer cleaned up the bases with 31 RBI that ranked fourth in the Southeast Conference and he got on base 40.6% of the time. Kroll led the team at the dish with a .442 BA, brought in 26 tallies, and came around to score 29 times. Wilx Witthoft rounded out the selections being on the second team as a third baseman. The senior registered a .485 OBP, managed 25 RBI, and had 11 extra base knocks.

The top 15 players were named to the first team with the next 16 on the second. Washington finished the season 15-14 and these four helped the orange and black lead the SEC with a .330 batting average.
