Southeast Iowa has seen cooler temperatures the last few days, with a possible record low Sunday night.

The National Weather Service Quad Cities Office records show that Washington had a low of 50 degrees last night, lower than the record low of 53 degrees set in 1992. The average high so far this August is 84.9, higher than the normal of 84.1, and the average low is 61.3, below the normal of 62.1. For precipitation Washington has currently seen .36 inches, with August’s normal being 2.13 inches. The rest of this week’s forecast shows sunny skies with highs ranging in the 80s and lows in the 60s, with a chance of rain on Friday. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
