A Brighton woman on federal probation was arrested on felony drug charges Tuesday.
Court documents show that probation officers conducted a search warrant on 48-year-old Rhonda Ann Hamer in the 300 block of South Farmer Street. A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to the residence and informed by the officers that they had located and seized methamphetamine, prescription pills, digital scales, empty baggies and a notebook consistent with the delivery of controlled substances. Hamer was charged with class C and class D felony drug violations.
She was convicted in 2008 in the Northern District of Iowa for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced to up to 188 months in prison with 96 months of supervised release. Hamer also has previous convictions from 1994 and 1991 in Johnson County. She was transported to the Washington County Jail, and a U.S. Marshals warrant was also issued for violation of supervised release. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
