lone-tree-fall-fest-2021

As summer is coming to a close the KCII Big Red Radio Summer Town Tour is making its final stop this Saturday.

The Lone Tree Fall Festival will kick off festivities Friday night with a monster tractor show and hay bale toss with the Hard Barney Band providing live music from 8 p.m. to midnight. Food options for the night include a food truck and Gussy’s Bar and Grill. Saturday will begin with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. hosted by the Lone Tree Historical Society and United Presbyterian Church. A 5K run or walk, 1 mile fun run and Kids Kookie Krumble 1/2-Mile Fun Run will take place shortly following.

The day continues with a parade at 11 a.m., afternoon kids activities including bounce houses, chalk the walk, water games and big wheel races. Headlining the afternoon entertainment will be the egg toss contest at 6 p.m. at the Devoe Street stage area. The Lone Tree Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Bids for Baskets auction at 7:30 p.m. which Chamber Treasurer Samantha O’Donnell says is a vital fundraiser for the festival and other events, “This is the way the chamber makes the most of their money throughout the year for most of their activities. Local businesses and people here in town donate different kinds of baskets and Saturday night we auction them off. There’s a lot of good things, there’s lots of baskets already. We have a ‘take it outside’ with a bunch of sporting, you know, baseball, basketball, soccer balls. We’ve got some Casey’s goodies and some adult beverages and lots of good things.”

Saturday night will wrap up festivities with a performance from the Lone Tree Dance Squad, DJ music provided by Anthony Entertainment, a raffle drawing and fireworks show. KCII will be broadcasting live from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Lone Tree to wrap up the KCII Summer Town Tour. For more information visit here.
