A Washington woman turned herself in on burglary and criminal mischief charges Tuesday.
Twenty-five year-old Katelyn Nicole Reed turned herself into the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant from the Washington Police Department for charges of first degree burglary, a class B felony, third degree burglary of a motor vehicle, an aggravated misdemeanor, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a serious misdemeanor.
Court documents show that on the morning of May 5th, Reed allegedly stabbed several vehicle tires at a residence in the 800 block of South Avenue C. She is also said to have cut a window screen and stabbed the window and entered the residence without permission. Reed then struck one of the residents in the face after being pepper sprayed. It was later alleged that Reed entered the vehicle of the victim and stole a purse. A $28,000 cash-only bond was set. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
