The Hillcrest Academy Raven soccer team not only had success on the pitch this spring with wins and losses but also in how they treated officials and opponents. The 2021 edition of the Ravens was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches, receiving the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award Silver level. In order to achieve this honor, a team must play their season, receiving no red cards and two or less yellow cards as a group. Hillcrest was one of only 19 boys programs in the country, and the only one in Iowa to earn the award. Hillcrest ended the season with a 9-6 overall record.
