It was a back and forth battle all night Thursday at Bud McLearn Court in Mediapolis, but in the end the Bullettes topped the Hillcrest Academy Ravens on their home floor in five sets to claim the Southeast Iowa Superconference volleyball victory. MEPO took the win by scores of 12-25, 25-21, 25-22, 23-25 and 15-9. The Ravens, who got their first regulation Superconference win in three seasons on Tuesday when they beat Louisa-Muscatine, were led by eight kills and five blocks from KCII’s JET Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week Esther Hughes. Norah Yoder had 32 assists and Grace Miller 15 digs. With the loss, the Ravens fall to 3-9 and will take the court next on Saturday in the Wilton tournament.
