A pair of runners make up the high school cross country squad at Sigourney High School in 2021 and the duo competed in Bloomfield on Thursday at Lake Fisher Park.

Freshman Reanah Utterback placed 29th out of 40 runners in the girls’ race with a time of 27:30. Joslyn Terpstra of Pella Christian won the event in 21:46. Kinnick Palmer placed 32nd on the boys’ side out of 56 with no times available. Eighth grader Troy Klett headlined the middle school two-mile race with a first place finish of 9:52.

The Savages will run next at English Valleys on Tuesday.
