Their first game action in nearly two weeks did not go as planned for the Keota volleyball team on Monday when they welcomed Belle Plaine for a South Iowa Cedar League matchup and the Plainsmen won in straight sets.
Belle Plaine (3-7) took control of the conference clash with set wins of 25-10, 25-22, and 25-13. The Plainsmen managed 28 kills with Jacey Reineke having eight of them and Mandy Chizek dished out 13 assists. Keota had a hard time controlling serves with the opposition recording 25 aces.
The Eagles drop to 4-4 and they are back home next Monday hosting Sigourney (6-5).
