A Winfield teenager was arrested on four felony drug charges Friday.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol conducted an investigation into an incident in Salem on September 6th. Officers learned that several juveniles had consumed “ACID” or LSD with one resulting in a vehicle crash. A search warrant was carried out in the 400 block of North Golfview Place in Winfield on September 10th. Nineteen-year-old Matthew Puumala was arrested and charged with delivery of LSD and possession with intent to deliver LSD, both class B felonies, and failure to affix drug tax stamp and possession with intent to deliver marijuana, both class D felonies. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Winfield Police Department, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, and Iowa State Patrol.
