The Hillcrest Academy Raven volleyball team will try to make it back-to-back conference wins when they host the Wapello Arrows Thursday. The Ravens are 3-14 after a four set win over Pekin Tuesday where they were led by Esther Hughes with nine kills, Norah Yoder’s 20 assists and 10 digs from Evelyn Gerber. For the year, the Ravens are paced by Hughes with 94 kills, Norah Yoder with 202 assists and Malia Yoder with 125 digs.

Wapello is 13-7 on the season after a sweep of Highland Tuesday on the road. The Arrows were led in the match by Emily Hemphill and Patricia Hank, each with 10 kills. Hemphill had 17 digs. Morgan Richenberger had 17 assists. Wapello has won four in a row in the series with the Ravens, including a sweep two weeks ago at the Burlington Notre Dame Tournament where Hank had eight kills, Richenberger four and a half assists and Hemphill 12 digs. In the losing effort, the Ravens had three kills from Esther Hughes, three assists from Norah Yoder and six digs from Evelyn Gerber. Action starts tonight at 7:15p.m. at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.
