It was the 50th annual Timm Lamb Cross Country Invitational in Fort Madison on Thursday and there were plenty of trophies to go around for area programs.

The Washington boys placed first out of six in the A division with 60 points to beat out second place Mount Pleasant’s 75. The girls placed second out of four with 38 points just behind Muscatine’s 37 and that was good enough for Washington to win the combined team trophy. The Demons swept the individual titles with Lance Sobaski taking the boys crown in 17:12 and freshman Quincy Griffis won her first meet in 22:19. Micah Rees was runner-up in the boys’s race (17:32), Tyler Alderton 13th (19:36), Drew Horak 14th (19:42), and Kevin Marcelino 30th (20:40).
