The YMCA of Washington County is hosting a new craft and vendor fair at the Wellman Parkside Activities Center this Saturday.
The inaugural Hometown Harvest will feature over 25 different craft and food vendors from Washington County including Dee-licious Treats, Riverbend Creations, R & R Treasures and Toni’s Tasty Treats. Wellman YMCA Membership Director Brenda Reasor shares her thoughts on the behind the scenes work, “I feel pretty good. I was hoping for a little bit larger turnout on the vendor side but I was able to fill up the inside so I feel pretty good about that. We’ve been doing a lot of Facebook pushing, doing a lot of talking, got a lot of flyers hung up really trying to get the crowd. I feel like we got the vendors set, now we just need to draw the crowd.”
Vendors will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Participants also have the opportunity to explore the Wellman YMCA during the fair with basketball, ring toss and putt-putt golf available for kids. Reasor adds that she enjoys the opportunity to put together events like this and hopes to make this fair a yearly event for the community.
