A stabbing incident in Ainsworth hospitalized one person Friday.

At approximately 6:35 p.m. the Washington County Communications Center received a report of a stabbing incident that occurred in the 400 block of Washington Street in Ainsworth. Emergency personnel from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Conservation, Washington County Ambulance Service, and Ainsworth First Responders all assisted at the scene. One person was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The victim was treated and has been released. The incident is currently under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
