A pair of KCII area schools were on the court at Wapello Thursday for pool play in the Southeast Iowa Superconference tournament. The Hillcrest Ravens, the 11th seed in the 18 team field went 1-3 against the other four participants. Their victory came against Lone Tree in straight sets by scores of 21-5 and 21-17. In their losses, the Ravens were beaten by three seed Holy Trinity 21-8 and 21-6, six seed Wapello 21-14 and 21-18, and 14 seed Danville 21-14 and 21-14. Statistical leaders on the night for the Ravens included Norah Yoder with 38 assists, Malia Yoder with 30 digs and Esther Hughes with 16 kills.
Lone Tree suffered setbacks at the hands of the Ravens, Crusaders, Arrows and Bears on the night. Hillcrest is now 5-18 on the year, Lone Tree falls to 4-10.
