Music, dancing, games, food and more can be enjoyed at the Latino Festival in Washington today.
The event has been hosted by Latinos For Washington Inc. for several years, and after the event’s cancellation last year they’re excited for the event to return on a Saturday during Hispanic Heritage Month so they can offer a day of free entertainment for the public. The festival lasts from 11:30-8 p.m. with several musical acts, a magician, kids activities from 1-4 p.m. including face painting, a Washington celebrity dunk tank, goodie bags, and a book giveaway. Rural Health and Safety of Eastern Iowa is also hosting a free walk-in mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinic for those 12 and older from 4-7 p.m. at the park. A Spanish interpreter will be on hand.
