Hillcrest Union will play host to an all-KCII area volleyball battle Thursday night when Winfield-Mt. Union travels to take on the Hillcrest Ravens. Hillcrest is 6-18 and fresh off of a Monday night home sweep on Senior Night over Rivermont Collegiate. The Ravens were led in the victory by Vlada Conea with seven kills and Norah Yoder with 12 assists. On the year, Esther Hughes has a team best 119 kills, Norah Yoder leads the way with 266 assists and Malia Yoder has 172 digs.
Winfield-Mt. Union is 14-8 on the season after a sweep on Saturday at the hands of Burlington Notre Dame at Southeastern Community College in Burlington in the championship rounds of the Southeast Iowa Superconference Tournament. For the year, the Lady Wolves are led by Bradie Buffington with 116 kills, Keely Malone has 289 assists and Keetyn Townsley has a team best 258 digs. Winfield-Mt. Union has won seven in a row in the series with the Ravens last victory coming in September of 2018. Action starts tonight at 6:30p.m. at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.
