A long road trip welcomes the Columbus Community football tomorrow night when they have a non-district showdown in New Sharon against North Mahaska.

The vibes are all positive in Columbus Junction after getting healthy last week and rolling Pekin 42-14 to move to 2-3. The ground game has picked up for the Wildcats with 368 rushing yards in that game and 1,229 for the season. Kaden Amigon leads that category with 633 yards and five touchdowns. The Warhawks have had a tough go at it this season sitting at 0-5 and most recently fell to Belle Plaine 54-12. The defense has surrendered 38 points a night with the offense just manufacturing 12 points an outing. They like to air the ball out with Sam Terpstra completing 65 of 117 throws for 860 yards and five scores.

The game gets started at 7 p.m. tomorrow at North Mahaska High School.
