The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk middle school boys and girls cross country teams competed Monday at the Creek Classic at the Kickers Complex in Iowa City. The Mid-Prairie boys finished as team runners-up with a score of 33 points. Top finish for the Hawks came from Rowan Miller in fifth with a time of 12:42 on the two mile course. Other Mid-Prairie runners included Max Swartzentruber seventh, Jesse Stultz 10th, Luke Brokaw 14th, Benji Lothamer 42nd, Isaac Beachy 48th, Jonathon Pickard 53rd, Brett McDowell 102nd, Owen Zirkelbach 115th, Evan Reschley 150th, Cristian Cespedes 157th, and Brock Lowenberg 158th.

The Mid-Prairie girls were fourth with a team score of 69 points. Top finish for the Golden Hawks came from Marie Yoder as runner-up in 13:01. Other Golden Hawk finishes included Brooklyn Stutzman 11th, Olivia Swartzendruber 25th, Naomi Miller 54th, Alaina Safly 68th, Kyrie Poll 79th, Hannah Rodgers 81st, Sam Wunderlich 94th, Marissa Parks 100th, Addison Miller 113th, Brynna O’Rourke 114th, and Audrey Miller 132nd.
