One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision Sunday.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office states that at about 12:15 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to a head-on collision on 250th Street near the Washington County Fairgrounds. The incident involved Tara Sue Ryan of Des Moines who was driving a 2014 Ford Focus and Wayne Earle Reighard of Washington who was driving a 2005 GMC Canyon. One person was transported to Washington County Hospital and Clinics for non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene. Reighard was issued a written warning for unsafe turning. Washington County Ambulance Service, Washington police, fire, and EMS, Washington County Rescue, and Moore’s Towing assisted at the scene.
