Hillcrest Academy will be a hub of activity Monday night as the Ravens host their final home cross country meet of 2021. Hillcrest was last in action on Thursday at the City High meet in Iowa City. Leah Bontrager led the Raven girls, taking 42nd place, Collin Miller was the top boys finisher in 86th.

Area schools joining the Ravens tonight at their home meet are Washington, Lone Tree and Sigourney. The Demons are on a roll coming into Monday. The Washington boys and girls won the team titles at their home meet Tuesday at the Washington Golf and Country Club. The Demon boys were led by a 1-2 punch at the top with Lance Sobaski winning the individual championship and Micah Rees taking second. The team title for the boys was their third in a row. The Washington boys are ranked No. 19 in class 3A this week with Sobaski No. 6 individually and Rees No. 22. The Washington girls were led to their team title by Quincy Griffis in second overall.

Lone Tree also ran at Washington last week with Vivian Zaruba taking 19th for the girls and Jadin Grieser 50th for the boys. The Savages last meet was also Washington with Reanah Utterback taking 25th and Kinnick Palmer 48th. Joining these three teams at Hillcrest tonight are Burlington, Danville/New London, English Valleys, Fairfield, HLV, Holy Trinity Catholic, Iowa City City High, Iowa City Regina, Mount Pleasant, North Mahaska, Pella, Solon, Wapello and Williamsburg. Action starts at 4:30 and continues into the evening on the campus of Hillcrest Academy.
