A Mount Pleasant man was arrested on felony burglary charges Monday.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report at approximately 3:41 a.m. of a male subject screaming and yelling in the 1600 block of Oakland Mills Road. Officers began to search the area when they received a 911 call from a residence in the 1700 block of a male subject breaking into a household and barricading himself in the bathroom. Thirty-seven year-old Matthew Ray Sanderson was identified as the screaming man and surrendered himself to the officers. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Henry County Jail. Sanderson was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, third-degree criminal mischief, an aggravated misdemeanor, and simulated public intoxication first offense, a simple misdemeanor.
