It was senior night for the Sigourney volleyball team on Monday, but Montezuma spoiled the party by invading town and coming away with a South Iowa Cedar League sweep. 

The Braves (12-7) took care of the battle with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, and 25-13. Shanae Wetering did a bulk of the damage for Montezuma with 12 kills. Raegan Rozenboom led the Savages with six kills and 11 digs. Brookelyn Hemsley set up most of the offense with 13 assists, Amiya Smallwood managed four blocks, and the team connected on 90% of their serves with seven aces. 

Sigourney drops to 13-9 overall, 7-3 in the SICL, and they return to the court Saturday in Washington for a tournament.
