The City of Wellman is helping residents with their fall cleaning tomorrow and Saturday.

Residents are encouraged by the city to take full advantage of these no-fee clean up days. Items can be brought to the dumpsters from noon-4 p.m. tomorrow and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the city’s maintenance building at 205 9th Avenue. Residents will be asked their name and address prior to unloading. In order to help prevent long lines, the city may ask for assistance in getting items into the dumpsters. If items cannot be hauled to the site, there are volunteers available tomorrow only that can travel to the residency for assistance. Items must be placed out front by 8 a.m. and cost is $15. Items such as building and remodeling waste, paint, electronics, toxic waste or tires will not be accepted for general disposal. Hazardous waste must be brought to the Rural Solid Waste and Recycling Center in Washington and appointments must be made in advance. Residents must contact 4C Recycling for disposal of electronics.
