A Brighton man in custody at the Washington County Jail now faces a second felony charge.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Michael James Stottler, Jr. Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance – third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, according to the Washington County Communications Center. A $5,300 cash-only bond was ordered. Stottler was previously arrested on August 12th for third-degree burglary, a class D felony. The charge stems from a July 7th incident in which Stottler allegedly stole a cell phone from a fireworks tent in Washington. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
