A match they had to have for Southeast Iowa Super Conference positioning, the Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team was business as usual last night in Letts by sweeping Louisa-Muscatine in straight sets. 

The Wolves handled each set with scores of 25-15, 25-17, and 25-6. Bradie Buffington and Melina Oepping led the offense with eight kills apiece. Keely Malone recorded 22 assists, Lily Freeman had two blocks, Keetyn Townsley eight digs, and Oepping was a perfect 17 of 17 serving with six aces. 

Winfield-Mt. Union is now 19-10 overall and 6-1 in the SEISC North division. They will host Mediapolis for a battle of second place next week to close out conference play. The Bulldogs are also 6-1 in the league while Wapello leads with a 6-0 mark. The Arrows have dates with Pekin and Lone Tree left on the schedule.
