Washington hosted their annual volleyball tournament on Saturday with numerous KCII area teams competing.

WACO had the best area finish of second place out of eight. The Warriors won all three matches in pool play to Sigourney (18-21, 21-18, 15-13), Highland (21-16, 21-19), and Hillcrest Academy (21-18, 21-19). They advanced to the championship game where they fell to Regina (16-21, 13-21).

Hillcrest Academy finished third by bouncing back from a loss to WACO and they beat Highland (21-10, 20-22, 16-14) and Sigourney (21-19, 20-22, 15-12). That set up a consolation finals match with Washington where the Ravens defeated the home Demons in three sets (17-21, 21-17, 15-10). Washington finished fourth and other matches for them included beating Tri-County (21-15, 22-20) and Keota (21-12, 21-18), but losing to Regina (18-21, 12-21). The Savages missed out on advancing in pool play by finishing 1-2 with their one win coming against Highland (21-13, 21-15).
