The regular season wrapped up on Thursday for the Washington volleyball team when they welcomed Columbus Community for an area bout on senior night. 

The host Demons snatched bragging rights with a four set win of 25-19, 26-28, 25-20, and 25-18. Alex Murphy had a big offensive night with 16 kills, Remy Messinger recorded 21 assists, Ava Turner managed 22 digs, and Ella Greiner served up six aces. The Wildcats were led by Victoria Howell with 10 kills and 14 digs while Sera Vela had 18 assists. The Demons honored six seniors before the game including Turner, Allyson Wenger, Ella Leyden, RyLee Fishback, Olivia Hamilton, and Emma Stalder. 

Washington closes the regular season 7-22 and they gear up for class 3A regional play on Monday at West Liberty (34-4). Columbus is 4-20 and they battle Durant (9-23) in the first round of the class 2A postseason on Monday.
