It is win or go home time for the Washington volleyball team when they start up the class 3A regionals tonight making a trip to West Liberty.
The Comets present a challenge with a 34-4 overall record and being ranked seventh in the latest poll by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Macy Daufeldt has been a problem no team has been able to solve with a River Valley Conference leading 499 kills on the season. The team serves at a 92% efficiency and Monica Morales leads the defense with 527 digs. Washington comes in with a 7-22 overall mark and closed the regular season with a four set win over Columbus on Thursday. The Demons’ Alex Murphy had a big night with 16 kills and Ava Turner recorded 22 digs.
The postseason clash begins at 7 p.m. tonight in West Liberty.
