The City of Kalona is helping residents with their fall cleaning this Saturday.

From 9 a.m. to noon, Kalona residents can head to the east entrance of the city maintenance building at 711 A Avenue to dispose of materials into the city dumpsters at no charge. Items not accepted include tires, yard waste, computer and television monitors, appliances, oil and lead acid batteries. These items can be properly disposed of at the Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center. No pickups will be available. Residents are required to unload all debris into the dumpsters and no bulk building materials will be allowed due to limited space. For more information visit here.
