The next 48-hours are the biggest of the season for cross country athletes in the KCII listening area. All schools will be involved in state qualifier meets to decide who advances to state in Fort Dodge. In class 3A, the Washington Demons will be on the course today in Solon. The No. 16 ranked Demon boys and No. 18 Demon girls will see Davenport Assumption, Benton Community, Central DeWitt, Fort Madison, Keokuk, Maquoketa, Marion, Mount Pleasant, No. 11 Mount Vernon/Lisbon, West Burlington Notre Dame, No. 18 South Tama and the No. 4 Spartans.

The class 1A and 2A meets featuring area schools will take place on Thursday. In class 2A, the No. 1 Mid-Prairie girls and No. 4 Mid-Prairie boys will be at Williamsburg. Also making that trip are No. 11 Albia, Cardinal, Centerville, Central Lee, Chariton, No. 13 Davis County, No. 20 East Marshall, Eddyville-Blakesburg, I-35, Prairie City Monroe, West Central Valley, West Marshall and the No. 3 Raiders.

In class 1A, KCII area schools including the No. 14 ranked Columbus boys, Wildcat girls, Highland, Hillcrest Academy, Lone Tree, Sigourney, WACO and Winfield-Mt. Union will send their teams to the Iowa City Kickers Complex, hosted by Iowa City Regina. There, they will see BGM, English Valleys, HLV, Holy Trinity Catholic, Iowa Valley, Lynnville-Sully, No. 20 Montezuma, No. 8 North Linn, Tri-County, Wapello and the No. 7 Regals.
