The city and school election is one week away and voters in Kalona, Riverside, and Wellman can get to know the candidates running for city positions during a special edition news magazine tonight.
KCII will be airing interviews with Kalona City Council candidates Henry Beisheim, Joe Schmidt, Craig Spitzer and Roy Carney; Riverside City Council candidates Kevin Kiene, Phillip Richman and Larry Simon; and Wellman mayor candidates Ryan Miller and Douglas Oldfield. The program begins at 6 p.m. tonight on FM 106.1, AM 1380, FM 102.5 KCII and streaming on our mobile app and at kciiradio.com. Listeners can find the program following the broadcast by going to the Listen Live page and clicking the On Demand button. Residents can also tune-in Thursday night at 6 p.m. to hear from the nine candidates running for Mid-Prairie School Board. Voters can go to the polls from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2nd, mail in absentee ballots, or mail by absentee in person at the Washington County Auditor’s Office. Mailed absentee ballots must be received by the auditor’s office when polls close on Election Day.
