Communities in southeast Iowa are ready for trick-or-treaters to hit the streets this weekend for city-wide Halloween festivities.

Kicking off the holiday tomorrow afternoon is the City of Keota’s trick or treat night from 3:30-5 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at participating downtown businesses. The Ainsworth Fall Festival costume parade will continue the Halloween fun from 3-4 p.m. Saturday followed by trick or treat nights in Brighton and Crawfordsville from 5-8 p.m with the Crawfordsville Fire Department costume party from 5:30-8 p.m. Youth will have plenty of opportunities to grab candy Sunday night in Riverside from 5:30-7:30 p.m, Washington from 6-8 p.m., Wellman’s neighborhood trick or treating and “Trunk or Treat” event on Main Street from 6-8 p.m., and in Kalona.
