With winter approaching Washington area residents have the opportunity to make sure they’re ready for the cold weather it brings.
The Washington Public Library partners with YMCA of Washington County and Farm Bureau Financial Services – Ann C. Williams Agency for a “Warm Up Washington Coats for Kids” drive. Library Director Cary Ann Siegfried says residents can visit the library this week to find needed layers, “We’ve worked with our partners to collect a lot of coats for all different and sizes and so we invite people to come and shop in the lower level of the library and find the right coats for your family.”
The organizations collected new and gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, and scarves to be distributed while they last now through this Saturday.
