The results are in for the city and school election in Washington County.

While the City of Washington had no contested races, the cities of Kalona, Riverside, Wellman, Ainsworth, Brighton, and Crawfordsville were among those that did. For three Kalona City Council seats, Craig Spitzer, Joe Schmidt, and Henry Beisheim received the most votes, and for an at-large Riverside City Council vacancy Kevin Kiene received the most votes. In the Wellman mayoral race Ryan Miller received 139 votes while Douglas Oldfield received 11, and the Ainsworth mayoral race went to incumbent Troy McCarthy who had 49 votes while Jonathon Ward had 45. For Brighton City Council David McArtor and Rose Jaynes received the most votes for two vacancies, and for Crawfordsville Sheila Baker, Jordan Hill, and Tom Gerot were the tops of five candidates running for three positions.

In the contested school board races, nine candidates ran for three Mid-Prairie seats in Washington, Iowa, and Johnson counties. Jed Seward received 560 votes, Gabby Frederick received 419, and Jake Snider received 365. Four newcomers ran for two contested Washington Community School Board races in Washington and Jefferson counties, with Michael Liska receiving 629 votes and Johnathan Bartholomew receiving 242 for the at-large seat, and Mindi Rees receiving 617 and Kendra DeWolf receiving 218 for the district 5 seat.
