Probation was recently ordered for a Lee County woman that was arrested on felony drug charges in Henry County.
Through a plea agreement, 34-year-old Crystal Ecker was convicted on one count of possession with intent to deliver less than five grams of methamphetamine, a class C felony controlled substance charge. A 10-year prison sentence was suspended with Ecker placed on five years probation. She must pay a $1,370 fine. Ecker was originally charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine, class B felony, and failure to affix drug tax stamp, a class D felony.
The charges stem from a traffic stop in March. A Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy initially stopped Ecker for traffic-related violations on Highway 218. During the stop, a K-9 unit was deployed leading to the discovery of drugs in her vehicle.
