Local businesses in Kalona are helping residents get ahead of their holiday shopping as a part of the Kalona Holiday Open House.
Starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. select businesses will open their doors for an extended holiday shopping opportunity. Kalona Chamber of Commerce Director Tonia Poole explains why these businesses extended their hours and the importance of residents supporting small businesses, “It’s good to be intentional. It’s really easy on a weekday or during normal hours to kind of push something off to another time. This is a day that a majority of people have off of work, that’s not your typical time. So it’s a great opportunity to be intentional, relax on your day off and do something you don’t normally get to do.”
Hours and specials for each participating business will vary with all businesses closing at 4 p.m.
