Whether it’s spent watching the parade, carving the turkey, or tossing around the pigskin – city, county and other employees are taking tomorrow off for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Washington City Hall is closed tomorrow and Friday, and the public library is closing at 5 p.m. today and reopening for normal hours Saturday. Thursday garbage pickup for Washington residents is pushed to Friday. The Washington County Clerk of Court’s office is closed today through Friday, and all county offices and the Rural Solid Waste and Recycling Center are closed tomorrow and Friday. Washington County Mini Bus will not operate Thursday, and post offices are closed, as well as most banking institutions. The Washington Community School District dismisses for Thanksgiving break today and students will return for the morning bell on Tuesday, November 30th.
