A Riverside man who was sentenced to prison for the death of his 17-month-old daughter among other charges has been moved to another facility.

Forty-year-old Anthony Lamont McCoy was released from the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Oakdale on November 17th and has been placed at the Burlington Residential Correctional Facility, according to Washington County Attorney John Gish. Iowa Department of Corrections’ records show that his tentative discharge date is February 28th, 2024. On August 6th, 2018, McCoy was sentenced to 14 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter, a class D felony, two counts of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. Nine of those years are for the involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment counts. McCoy pleaded guilty to the charges related to the death of his daughter Avery McCoy.

Avery’s mother, 33-year-old Ambrashia Marie Chrzan is currently serving at the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women, and her tentative discharge date is listed for April 22, 2041. A jury trial convicted Chrzan in 2018 of child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony.
