You can find a sleigh full of delights to take in today for Washington’s Snow Blitz schedule of events.
Today begins with Breakfast with Santa from 8-10 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children three and older, and participants can enjoy pancakes, crafts, and storytime and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The 15th annual Jingle Bell Run is also taking place with day-of registration starting at 8 a.m. and the race beginning at 9 a.m. in front of JP’s 207. Proceeds go to PAWS & More Animal Shelter and holiday lights around the square. The public is encouraged to think local for holiday shopping during Small Business Saturday, and at 5 p.m. is the Lights of Love Memorial tree lighting ceremony and the lighted parade starting at 5:30. Area families have another opportunity to meet Mr. Claus as Santa’s House will be open from 6:30-8 p.m. tonight and 1-4 p.m. tomorrow at Greiner Buildings located on East Main Street. KCII’s jolly Big Red Radio is providing the soundtrack to the Jingle Bell Run and broadcasting live from 8-10 a.m., and 4-6 p.m. and announcing the parade.
