A Wellman woman was arrested on a felony theft charge Wednesday.
Court documents show that Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Chad Ellis received a call from Casey’s General Store Loss Prevention Detective Bert Brandl on November 18th of a completed investigation at the Riverside location. It was discovered that 46-year-old Amy Renee Frantz had exercised control over stolen property worth over $17,000. Records and video show Frantz walking out of the store with a bank deposit bag and then not making the deposit into the bank. She faces a charge of first-degree theft, a class C felony. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
