Washington’s Ethan Zieglowsky has flirted with perfection on the bowling lanes in the past and Wednesday’s outing was much of the same. The senior was two pins shy of a coveted 300 game, but the veteran’s efforts was still enough to carry the Washington boys’ bowling team to a triangular victory at Keokuk County Bowl.
The Demons shot a two-game score of 2,468 pins to beat out Sigourney-Keota’s 2,316 and West Burlington’s 2,181. Zieglowsky posted a 523 series including a 266 high game where he delivered strikes on every frame except the fifth and 10th. The senior’s personal best score of 289 was in a Mount Pleasant meet last year where he had a perfect score heading into the final frame. Other Demon scores on Wednesday included Caleb Zieglowsky third with a 393 series, Quentin Howard 11th with 257, Cole Anderson 12th with 253, and Ismat Abdurahimov 13th with 249 pins.
