The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team goes south tonight for a non-conference triangular against Fort Madison and Mount Pleasant.

Mid-Prairie comes into the night with a dual record of 3-5 on the season. They were last in action at the Colton Allen Memorial Invitational at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman Saturday, where they finished fifth of six teams with two individual champions in Cael Garvey at 195lbs and Terry Bordenave at 220lbs. The Hawks have two ranked wrestlers in their lineup with Garvey in the top spot in the 2A poll at 195lbs and Gannon Callahan 12th in 2A at 285lbs.

Fort Madison has an unbeaten dual record this year at 4-0. They were last in dual action December 7th when they swept Burlington, Wapello and Mediapolis in a quadrangular. The Bloodhounds have one ranked wrestler in their lineup with Gavin Wiseman at No. 7 in class 3A at 160lbs. Fort Madison beat Mid-Prairie head to head a year ago 54-30.

Mount Pleasant is 1-7 in duals this year with their only win coming against Keokuk a week ago. The Panthers do not have any ranked wrestlers in their lineup. The Golden Hawks got by the Panthers 45-34 last season.

Action starts tonight at 6p.m. at Fort Madison High School.
