Charges are pending on the driver at fault for a two-vehicle wreck that left three people injured in Washington County.

At 3:51 p.m. December 6th, 40-year-old Joshua Jeffrey Pappas of Clear Lake was driving a Dodge Durango SUV westbound on County Road G26 or 190th Street toward Highway 1, where 44-year-old Jill Marie Hebert of Fairfield was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe northbound. Pappas failed to stop at the stop-sign intersection and collided with the passenger side of Hebert’s vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in a farm field in the northwest corner of the intersection. One person was transported by Air Care, and the other two injured were transported by Washington County Ambulance Service to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Iowa State Patrol states as of Monday that the three occupants have survived the crash. ISP is waiting on blood results for pending charges.
