The WACO wrestling team closed the first half of the season on Tuesday competing in the BGM Holiday Duals and the Warriors won three of five duals on the evening.
WACO lost to Wilton 56-18 and Moravia 43-36, but defeated BGM 60-18, Collins-Maxwell 66-18, and Tripoli 48-30. In total, the Warriors went 22-24 in contested matches. Louden Huisenga was the headliner for the team winning all five contested matches including an 8-4 decision and four pins that totaled 8:06. Larz Smith picked up three pins at 145 lbs, Jonah Clark did the same at 220 lbs, and Gage Samo had a pair of falls and a 5-4 decision victory at 106 lbs. Other Warriors with multiple wins included Kris Boone at 182 lbs and Jon Rice at 285 lbs.
WACO heads into the holiday break with a 10-4 dual record.
